Regia’s new freestanding sink is called Tao, just like the most famous of all the symbols representing the polarity of the universe: the positive, masculine principle, represented in white, and the negative, feminine principle represented in black.

And just like the symbol, the sink has been made in black and white, in the material which the company traditionally uses for making its products: tecnoglass.

Black and white
Regia equals design for the modern bathroom. The Milan-based company, in its quest to create an object that would be the undisputed protagonist of the bathroom, has proposed an alternative to the plain black and white colours for its new sink.

Sanding technique
These are gold and silver leaf finishes, as well as the original ”tao” texture made with black decorative effects set against a white background or vice versa, created using a sanding technique.

Champagne glass
Tao is a design piece featuring fashionable colours and unusual shapes; a sink that is bound to set trends. It is a self-supporting element which recalls the shape of a champagne glass.

It has a column measuring 87 centimetres in height and a sink with a diameter of 60, and blends in naturally with bathrooms in the home, wellness spas or modern hotels.
